US rabbis ask Prime Minister Netanyahu to sign a cease-fire agreement

According to the Jewish Telegraphic Agency, 99 rabbis and Cantor “urgently” called on the Israeli Prime Minister and all stakeholders to “finalize the deal on the table outlined by President Biden and approved by Qatar, Egypt, and the United Nations Security Council, and bring necessary relief to those suffering.”

The rabbis said Jews living in Israel and the global diaspora would not be able to begin healing unless the 115 prisoners held by Hamas in Gaza returned.

“We must seize the opportunity to restore hope to this region.

“The days of hostages being held in Gaza are days of lost hope. Now is the time to fully restore that sparkle of hope and reunite the hostages, their families, and the entire Jewish people by concluding this deal,” he added.
