Everyone, welcome to moomoo's new featured investment story!

This time, we invited Mr. PAN to talk about his investment experience. How did they choose the investment market and how did they earn 100 million yen in 5 years? How did you reflect when your investment failed...
I was also asked to answer the questions I had received from everyone beforehand. Let's take a look at PAN's answers together!
US Stock Investor Interview! What is the secret to building assets of 100 million yen or more by investing in stocks ⁉️
──What led you to start investing? Have you ever woken up to investing?
PAN: I was living in the US when I started investing in American stocks in 2013, and when I noticed, my bank account balance was around 300,000 dollars. At that time, the US also had zero interest ratesSo even if you keep it in a bank, it won't increase.Investments are importantI had that input into my head, and I thought I had to do something, so I started investing.
The reason I started investing in the first place was when I went to an American bank for some errand, and the person at the counter said, “It would be a waste not to manage even though I have quite a few balances. I will introduce the person in charge of operation.” I was told, and 2 Japanese women were introduced. So I started something like a rap account, but after a few months, it had dropped by about 5,000 dollars. I had chosen a very low-risk course, but it was still decreasing, so I closed my account,Start investing on your ownI've decided.
Before that, I opened an account with a Japanese securities company, and when I put in a certain amount of money, they gave me IPO shares, etc., so I made a bit of profit. I also invested in BRICs when there was a boom in investment in BRICs, but I failed because the boom was late when I started. I was investing in FX, a currency with a high interest rate, in 2008,I lost almost all of my wealth due to the collapse of Lehman Brothers. After that, even though I wanted to invest, I didn't have any money to invest, but since I had saved money after 5 years, I resumed investing in US stocks.
What was your first market of choice? Why did you choose that market?
PAN: US stocks were the first investment I made with proper awareness on my own. As I mentioned earlier, there were times when interest rates were zero even in the US, and when I lived in the US, I felt it was natural to invest in US stocks. Also, II work for a high-tech companySo, when it comes to high-tech companies, I knew their strengths, such as what they do and what kind of products they have. So I started investing in companies like that. When I first invested, I didn't even know ETFs existed。 I learned about ETFs many years after I started investing in them.
── How did you arrive at the initial 100 million yen?
PAN: Starting with 30 million yen in 2013, the market environment was good for the 5 years until 2018, and it continued to rise steadily without major declines, so we increased our assets. Including not only the investment, but also the salary of the local company in Silicon Valley where I worked at the time,It reached 100 million yen in about 5 years
── What are your current goals?
PAN: I don't have any particular goals. I think it would be nice if we could increase our assets as much as possible, but there are also places where it depends on the market. I've never set a goal so I don't set a goal and overdo it, or lose my mind because I've achieved my goal. If I think “I will increase my assets by 15% by the end of this year,” I think I'm going to fail. I want to get as much return as possible, but on the other hand, I don't want to maximize risk. We do ETFs and Forex with 3x leverage, but I think not being able to sleep well in the middle of the night is taking too much risk, so don't put pressure on yourself,I am investing within my risk tolerance
── What kind of events led to the formation of the current investment style?
PAN: I don't really understand whether I have my own investment style or not. I've never been aware of or made a decision about “this is my style.” For instance,The investment style is completely different between last year and this year。 This year, I'm also investing in bond ETFs I've never bought before. They also invested in crude oil-related stocks that had crashed during the COVID-19 pandemic.
── I feel it's difficult to predict whether bonds should be bought this year, but does Mr. PAN currently hold bonds?
PAN: The current policy interest rate is the highest rate since 2022. If you buy it now, you'll be able to get capital gains when the price eventually goes up, and you can get income gains just by holding it. Incorporating it from macroeconomic logic,Now is the time to buy bondsIt has been determined that.
── Does PAN anticipate that interest rates are unlikely to rise significantly in the future?
PAN: I don't know if the current interest rate is the highest,Will there be 1 or 2 more increases in US policy interest ratesI think it's about that. The exit is in sight, so it's not currently anticipated that long-term interest rates will rise to 6 percent from here on out. If the economy recovers rapidly, I don't think there will be any further interest rate hikes, but I'm not expecting that much at the moment.
── Rather than investment styles, investment targets are being changed flexibly according to the market environment. How is PAN improving decision making and investment methods when investing?
PAN: There are always things to reflect on, so I'm reflecting on them. Whether or not to reflect“I have no knowledge of the future”I'm assuming that. When I think I should have made a more correct decision with the information obtained when I was investing, in other words, the way I looked at the information was weak, or I was strangely biased and overoptimistic, originallyI reflect on what I should have noticed when I was investingI'm doing that. However, I don't regret the fact that materials I couldn't see when I was investing came out later.
── Are you using what you've reflected on for your next investment?
PAN: I think I'm making use of it. But last year was always full of failures. When stock prices started falling at the beginning of the year, interest rate hikes hadn't started yet. Interest rate hikes began in March, but assuming interest rate hikes were imminent as of the beginning of the year, I realized that a reverse yield environment would arrive, and I am very sorry that holdings of US stocks should have been reduced.

── I would like to know the origin of PAN's “PAN.”
PAN: Anything was fine,I want 3 letters of the alphabetThat's what I thought. The reason is that I wanted to use 3 letters of the alphabet, like CIS or BN F, who are Japanese investors and are majors, or are already legendary. The idea of PAN is such an idea that I don't even remember why. When something has to be blurry, they say it's an acronym for “Party All Night.”
── When did you start working on YouTube?
PAN: From December 2019. It was about 3 months before the COVID-19 pandemic spread. I've been investing in US stocks since 2013/At that time, there was very little information on US stocks in JapaneseIt was. I was living in the US when I started working on YouTube, but I started thinking that there might be a need to post about US stocks in Japanese from the US to Japanese people. After that, there was a sudden boom in US stocks due to the coronavirus, and the number of viewers increased steadily from the beginning of the channel's opening, in a form that just took advantage of that.
── What is your favorite food? Do you do any sports? What do you do on your days off?
PAN: There are many foods I like, but speaking of American ones, I love Shake Shack hamburgers. I also like Japanese food. I like okonomiyaki. I don't play sports. The US market is closed on my days off, so I try not to think about investing and watch Netflix. It feels like you're taking a break from investing in your brain. I make all my own YouTube videos, so I made a video on Saturday morning and then it's my day off. I don't have any hobbies.
