The US stock market closed when Nasdaq General (.IXIC) plummeted. While September interest rate cut observations by the US Federal Reserve (FRB) increased in response to inflation statistics below expectations, investment funds shifted to small and medium-sized stocks, and prices of NVIDIA, Apple, Tesla, etc. fell.
The Nasdaq recorded a significant rate of decline since April 30. While S&P 500 (.SPX) also fell, Dow Jones Industrial Stock 30 (.DJI) closed slightly higher.
