US Tesla to introduce humanoid robots in-house next year = Mr. Musk

This is the critical moment for today! Let's launch a two-stage rocket 🚀
[22nd Reuters] - US Tesla (TSLA.O), opens new tab CEO Elon Musk (CEO) announced in a post to X on the 22nd that humanoid robots will be “produced in small quantities” for internal use next year. If possible, it is said that mass production will be carried out in 2026 and sold externally.
While demand for electric vehicles (EVs), which account for 80% or more of Tesla's sales, is sluggish, Mr. Musk has been clarifying policies to focus on artificial intelligence (AI), autonomous driving software, autonomous driving taxis, and humanoid robots in recent months. However, Honda and Boston Dynamics, which are under the umbrella of Hyundai Motors, are also already developing humanoid robots.
Tesla is scheduled to announce financial results for the 2nd quarter of '24 on the 23rd. Although profit margins are expected to be at a low level for the first time in 5 years or more, attention is also being drawn to Mr. Musk's ambitious plans for autonomous driving taxis “robo-taxis” and AI products.
Mr. Musk indicated in April this year that the humanoid robot “Optimus” could be introduced at factories by the end of the year, and sales could begin as early as the end of 25.
