US trade deficit shrinks to 73.1 billion dollars for the first time in 3 months in June

[Washington 6th Reuters] - The trade balance deficit for June, as announced by the U.S. Department of Commerce on the 6th, was 73.1 billion dollars, down 2.5% (1.9 billion dollars) from the previous month. The deficit narrowed for the first time in three months. The market forecast was a deficit of 72.5 billion dollars.
The export value in June was 265.9 billion dollars, an increase of 1.5% (3.9 billion dollars) from the previous month. The import value was 339 billion dollars, an increase of 0.6 percent (2 billion dollars) from the previous month.
Exports of goods (goods) increased by 4.4 billion dollars to 174.2 billion dollars. While capital goods and commercial aircraft increased, automobiles, parts, and engines declined.
Service exports fell by 400 million dollars to 91.7 billion dollars. Travel has declined.
Imports of goods (goods) increased by 1.9 billion dollars to 271.6 billion dollars. Consumer goods, pharmaceutical preparations, etc. have increased.
Service imports increased by $200 million to $67.5 billion. While travel has increased, transportation has declined.
