US Treasury Maintains Quarterly Long-Term Bond Issuance Size, Reaffirms No Increase in the Next Few Quarters, Treasuries Rise
Some market participants thought the US Treasury might revise its guidance to include the possibility of increasing long-term securities issuance. The US Treasury reiterated that it does not expect to increase the regular bond auction size for at least the next few quarters. Regarding the proportion of short-term notes in the total marketable debt, the Treasury Borrowing Advisory Committee (TBAC) updated its recommendations, no longer restricting it to the 15%-20% framework.
