The impact of these new restrictions will therefore be "relatively limited", the sources told the news agency. The law is due to be published in "August".
The exemptions mean, among other things, that Veldhoven chip machine maker ASML is NOT AFFECTED, in addition to other manufacturers such as Tokyo Electron. The rules will affect companies from several other countries. This would include countries such as Israel, Taiwan, Singapore and Malaysia. The US Commerce Department, which is responsible for export policy, did not respond to questions.
