Watch out for new scams! Risk of directing to an external site and lending an account
Recently, I received a consultation email from a customer saying “I lent my account to someone else and my account was banned (suspended).” I don't understand the reason for this story at first glance, but a surprising fact is hidden. Let's take a closer look at the new modus operandi of this scam.
The fraud was carried out as follows.
1. User A interacts with “unknown people” through comments and chats within Moomoo,After that, we exchanged LINE contacts.
2. I kept in touch with that “unknown person” on LINE and was recommendedStart using cryptocurrency investment sites.
3. Since profit was initially made, user A gradually placed trust in that “unknown person” and began to follow them as an investment “mentor,”I borrowed my own moomoo account!
4. After that, this “mentor”Use user A's account to impersonate user AThey advertised “I earned xxx dollars in one week thanks to my 'mentor'” to other users, and moved communication to LINE, leading to investments without legal guarantees.
5. One day, user AI didn't withdraw money from that investment siteI realized it was a scam. Furthermore,I've noticed that my moomoo account has been suspended.

Customer measures:
1. Don't easily exchange contacts with people you don't know

2. Don't easily believe investment sites you don't know
When investing, they are often solicited by investment platforms that claim high returns. 3. Don't lend your account
Your account and password are important personal information for us, and we also use them for transactions on moomoo.
