Spoiler: Stay tuned until the end for a chance to earn bonus points!
Hello mooers,
We're excited to bring you another update from our Global Paper Trading Challenge, especially during a week loaded with significant events like the U.S. elections and crucial earnings reports. (Tap here to revisit last week's wrap-up)
Positive Returns
It's been quite the roller coaster in the markets last week, hasn't it? With significant indices like the S&P 500 and Nasdaq experiencing downturns of -1.37% and -1.5% respectively, it’s impressive to see that many of you managed to stay ahead of these trends. More than a quarter of our challengers outperformed the Nasdaq!
This not only showcases your resilience but also your adeptness at adjusting to rapid market changes. Successful trading is not just about enjoying the ups but also effectively handling the downs, and last week was a prime example of a real-time learning opportunity. It prepared all our participants for similar fluctuations they might face in real trading scenarios.

CNNT : Since the contest is coming to an end soon, my strategy is to set up a good and achievable sell price for all the holdings to capture the upside.
Wee the Pig : Pump and dumps. Too bad most of these are not available to trade with real money.
Raymond L522 :
Formless 懒人觉醒 : The most concerning issue will be whether Donald Trump wins or loses, as it may not be significant. The market is likely to remain volatile. I will long for VIXY for a couple of weeks.
Nnuge : I know that i will suffer losses. However, the mitigation of the losses is the key. I try to pick one stock that starts rising early in the day and hope to ride the winner all the way to the bell. I've forgotten to sell a couple of times, and that bit me (Stantec). Just remember that presale can drive the price both up and down. stay on top of your trades and use the technical tools to increase your profits and risk awareness. this is a small snapshot of my positions earlier in the competition, and 1 good buy can be all it takes to get up to the top.
Meme_Short_Queen : load up MSCI and waiting to go to the moon
Green7plus : Pay attention!
102362254 : With last week’s dip, I stayed steady, viewing it as a setup for some strategic plays in trending stocks. This week, I'm watching for meme stocks and election-related stocks to gain traction as retail excitement often picks up around these. Riding the wave could bring some fast returns. I spot potential breakout moves if momentum aligns with broader market sentiment
103664593 : All in China
