The union representing workers at the Escondida mine in Chile, recognized as the largest copper mine globally, reached an agreement with  $BHP Group Ltd(BHP.AU)$ on August 18, effectively averting a strike that posed a potential disruption to worldwide copper supplies. The newly ratified three-year contract features key amendments to working conditions, including "initiatives to optimize shift changes, increase equipment utilization and compliance with the 40-hour law," as outlined in BHP's official statement on the accord. - @rylar: We look to cost curve support to emerge, given 95thpercentile is US$101/t and 90th percentile US$88/t. Flipping cost curves tomargin curves, we observe BHP has the highest, and therefore most resilient, iron ore margins. $Mineral Resources Ltd (MIN.AU)$ and $Fortescue Ltd (FMG.AU)$ are most operationally levered to weak/weakening iron ore prices.  Read more>>
- @mrminivee: BHP usually makes its move up around November so we still have almost 3 months of uncertainty...... Last week BHP hit $38.76 which is already low and is paying probably around $1 div in a couple of weeks so you could consider it good buying here. You could also wait for it to go ex-div and buy it after but there's a risk it will be well into the $40s by then...... Read more>>

- @ArtieZiffsCat: In the CBA chart, why then are there 5 waves with 5 clear individual waves in wave 3?
Why is the 3rd wave in both the larger & minor degree waves the largest impulse wave? Why did the larger degree 4th wave correct the 3rd wave by exactly Fibonacci 61.8%? Why is the fifth wave going to conclude tomorrow at approximately 50% of the total of the 5 waves? Read more>>
- @Griffo_au: Is it the new normal for banks to be trading on PEs in excess of 15? It is always different until it isn't.

- @Rockyturki: Many people still don't understand how much $亚马逊(AMZN.US)$ 's e-commerce business has changed "under the hood" in the last 10 years. At some point, investors will have the "AHA moment" when it comes to their profits, although that was obvious all along for those who looked closely.

  • mr_cashcow : Thanks again for the reward points[undefined]

    Some factors influencing the impact:
    ①Revenue & profit growth
    ②Guidance for future performance
    ③Dividend announcements
    ④Market conditions & sentiment
    ⑤Commodity price trends (resource focus)

  • 102362254 : The impact on $BHP Group Ltd (BHP.AU)$ closing price will largely depend on the market's reaction to the financial performance and outlook presented in the report. If the results exceed expectations, we might see a positive uptick in the stock price. Conversely, if the results fall short, there could be a negative impact. It's always interesting to see how the market responds to these important financial updates.

  • Dadacai : Thank you for the points.

  • ZnWC : Thanks for the reward points [undefined]

  • Aaron Invests (AI) : Thank you for the points [undefined]

  • Yi Long Ma : The price, of course will depend on the expectations. If the earnings are as expected or exceed, the share price will definitely increase but on the other hand if they fail to meet the expectations, the share price will dive. Thats how the market works and how the investors will think too

  • Wonder : Thank you for the points!

Market sentiments after earnings much dependent on 2 factors:- 1) whether the results meet or exceed expectations n 2) forward guidance positive or not. The bigger macroeconomics then also may affect the market's reaction.
