Weekly Buzz | CES 2025 - AI, robotics and wearable devices
The market closed higher Friday, but the shortened trading week was negative enough to see a market-wide pullback that barely kept stocks from forming even the slightest Santa Rally. The Rally is really a historic observation, where the S&P 500 tends to climb more than 1.3% in just seven sessions this year from the close of December 23rd until the trading close Friday, January 3rd. Though this happens more than 75% of years, it looks like 2025 is off to a slower start than most.   Read more>>

3. $BHP Group Ltd (BHP.AU)$ Buzzing stars ⭐⭐⭐
BHP stock ended Friday’s session at $39.06. This follows broad weakness in the mining sector on Monday. MPC Markets' Mark Gardner has an optimistic outlook for BHP shares in the year ahead. "China is recovering and the race to build artificial intelligence data centres should lift demand for copper, steel and uranium," Gardner said.
💡 mooer's insights
@AI Lambert JR: $BHP Group Ltd (BHP.AU)$ not before it hits AUD 43 line should one consider bulking it up.  Currently the valuation, ROE & dividends ratios are not as attractive. Will give it time.

  • 102362254 : I’m quite bullish on robotics and wearables in 2025. Robotics is advancing with AI and cobots, boosting efficiency and productivity, while wearables are becoming essential with features like ECG and other health insights. Both industries are set for rapid growth, transforming everyday life

  • Lucas Cheah : I am definitely bullish on the robotics and wearable devices industries in 2025! Both sectors are positioned for strong growth due to increasing adoption across multiple fields like healthcare and consumer technology.

In robotics, I am watching companies like ABB for their automation solutions in manufacturing. On the wearable side, companies like Apple, with their advancements in health-monitoring features on the Apple Watch, are exciting to watch as they integrate health data with AI.

What excites me most is how these industries can transform our daily lives—from improving productivity with automated systems to enabling better health monitoring through smart wearables. These trends make them long-term investment opportunities worth exploring.

  • Aus Macca : I'm holding onto my seat with brainchip 😬

  • Vincent 嫲嫲 : [undefined][undefined][undefined]

  • VicTAN : [undefined]

  • Gameplayer : ok

  • 151737576 : Sure there is increasing adoption of AI but there is still the issue about whether AI should be making decisions without being checked by a human. I also feel that the robotics sector might be a bit hyped with the new year and many people making resolutions. I still think that AI will become more dominant in a few more years but better to buy early and not miss the boat.

  • kiteve1 : [undefined]

  • 151059905 : 2025 has had an interesting bumpy ride so far. With the rising costs of living eating into discretionary spending, it will be unclear if certain tech niches will rise as quickly as previous years. Let’s see how the market plays out
