The week was slow in  terms of news and trade volume, but that did not stop investors from pushing  $Apple (AAPL.US)$ to new records, a rally that fizzled out by the end of the week. After multiple down sessions, it looks likely that the Santa Claus rally is on hold this year. 💡 mooer's insights
@areecep: When it comes to Apple, it’s hard not to admire its dominance and innovation. I’ve always liked Warren Buffett’s take—stick to companies with products people love. $Apple (AAPL.US)$ ticks that box perfectly, but I'm thinking of switching things up in 2025. Read more.
2. $BHP Group Ltd (BHP.US)$ Buzzing stars ⭐⭐⭐
Goldman Sachs is positive on BHP and sees it as an ASX dividend stock to buy. It is copper that is getting Goldman Sachs the most excited. The broker highlights that it "remain[s] bullish on copper due to ongoing supply side challenges and increasing demand and expect BHP's copper EBITDA to increase by ~US$3bn to ~US$10bn by FY26E (~45% of group EBITDA).
💡 mooer's insights
@SnowVested: it would be nice, $BHP Group Ltd (BHP.AU)$ it been near a year of owning BHP and it would be nice to see it go back above 52-56 dollars
@TOLKKI: I think $BHP Group Ltd (BHP.AU)$ will hit mid 40s in the lead up the FEB dividend and/or more details on the China stimulus at the next NPC meeting in March.
Merry Christmas all.
When does everyone seeing BHP recover to mid $40s?
3. $Broadcom (AVGO.US)$ Buzzing stars ⭐⭐
Broadcom stock rose by 9.79% last week. Broadcom has attracted much attention due to its strong performance and optimistic artificial intelligence AI market prospects. • 102362254 : I’m quite satisfied with my last trade in 2024. My final trade of the year was Palantir, which delivered good results and served as a great reminder of the value of patience and sticking to a plan. It’s rewarding to see long-term research and conviction pay off, especially in a volatile market. Looking ahead to 2025, I’m excited to explore new opportunities, particularly in the tech and healthcare sectors

  • Lucas Cheah : I was really satisfied with my last trade in 2024. It felt great to see my investment in $NVIDIA (NVDA.US)$  pay off, especially after carefully analyzing its potential. For my first trade in 2025, I am looking at blue-chip stocks, especially in sectors like technology and consumer staples. These areas feel stable yet offer tremendous growth opportunities to start the new year strong.

  • Alex Puffin Two Vape : epic@Analysts Notebook

  • Lazy Cat Invests : I'm currently satisfied with the last trade of 2024 (a swing trade which is still on-going) as I have stuck with my trading trade. Although the previous trade before this was profitable, I had ended it way too early and hence vowed to be more disciplined. Moving on to 2025, I will be building up my retirement portfolio with more blue chips dividend stocks.

  • SnowVested : my last trade was avgo, knew at he time it was a split,  but didn't expect to see another split so soon in the horizon, the way it's running.
