This week's highlights
1. Any thoughts or strategies with upcoming NVDA earnings
$NVIDIA (NVDA.US)$ is often referred to as one of the most significant stocks globally, and Jessica is eager to share her personal insights on the matter.
"Nvidia's Q2 earnings, due on August 29, are expected to surpass expectations.
On average, it has seen a post-earnings day share price jump of 14%. In the last quarter alone, Nvidia's shares surged 9% following its earnings report. We are approaching a show-me moment, as we already know 60% of its clients are Nasdaq 100 companies (19% of revenue is from Microsoft, 10.1% from Meta, 8.6% from SMCI, 6.9% from Alphabet, 5.9% from Amazon, and 3.3% from Tesla).
The questions are whether Nvidia will add more significant clients and whether it will broaden its revenue mix—such as into healthcare. Will money from J&J, GE, and Novo hit its books? And will big mega-tech increase its spending? Positive sentiment around AI and tech is high."
The sharing below brings more specific tips while reading Nvidia's earnings.
2. How to diversify portfolios with ETFs
A key takeaway: Most growth ETFs do target a return, but you’ll need to read the fine print. Please also remember that earnings growth and earnings upgrades drive share price growth.
"But if you seek dividend ETFs then you could also consider dividend ETFs such as $iShares S&P/ASX Dividend Opportunities ESG Screened ETF (IHD.AU)$, $Russell Inv High Dividend Aus Shrs ETF (RDV.AU)$, $SPDR MSCI Australia Select High Dividend Yield ETF (SYI.AU)$ .
There are high dividend ETFs, which carry greater risk, but YTD YieldMax COIN Option Strategy ETF yields 119%. YieldMax TSLA Option Income ETF (TSLY) has yielded 81% and YieldMax MRNA Option Income Strategy ETF (MRNY) has yielded 73%. or k at Shares Index ETF (VAS)”, shared by Jessica.
3. How to invest during interest rate cuts?
Interest rate cuts typically boost global economic growth and company profits in the future. However, the market may experience fluctuations as it interprets various signals.
4. How can a company be evaluated using core metrics specific to its sector?
One way to evaluate a company using core metrics specific to its sector is to compare its performance to industry benchmarks and standards.
By assessing how a company's metrics stack up against those of its industry peers, investors can gain insight into its relative performance and competitive position within the sector.
