NVIDIA's "non-stopping" surge: Are we witnessing a new era?

Let's rewind to 2021 when NVIDIA's 4-for-1 stock split sent the stock soaring by 27%. Fast forward to now, and they're going big with a 10-for-1 split on June 10. That means 10 times more shares, 10 times lower price per share, but the same market cap. Since they dropped the news about the split and a 150% dividend boost (now a whopping $0.01 per share post-split), $NVIDIA(NVDA.US)$'s stock has climbed 15% to $1093.50 between May 22 and May 30. Not too shabby!

Not only they lost a beautiful voice, they also lost a large volume of data by users asking the AI to call them daddy.

4) Woof woof!

About three dozen dedicated dogs got their diplomas to become service dogs in B.C. on Sunday. They will have the chance to enjoy up to 30% tips in their future work while dropouts can only get a job to scare naughty kids.

Bank of Canada Interest Rate Decision: when they get low, what gets high?

At a recent press conference on monetary policy, Tiff Macklem, the Bank of Canada Governor, hinted at a possible rate cut in June if inflation keeps cooling off. The latest numbers show Canada's annual inflation rate for April at 2.7%—the lowest in almost three years.

The Bank's favored core inflation measure, the CPI-median, saw its year-over-year growth drop to 2.6% in April, lower than the expected 2.7%. This is the fourth month in a row of slowing growth for this indicator.

All this data suggests that inflationary pressures in Canada are easing, with price pressures cooling off. Looks like Canada's first rate cut might be just around the corner. So when rates get low, what will get high? Well, it should be your money or somebody else's.

FFIE: Ups and downs, let's still chin up!

In Q4 2023, $Faraday Future Intelligent Electric Inc.(FFIE.US)$'s revenue took a dramatic 58% nosedive to $233,000, all from car sales. Meanwhile, the cost of goods sold ballooned by 23% to $20 million, and net profit plummeted 7% to a loss of $84 million. Unsurprisingly, their stock price tanked 27.44% to $0.85 after hours on May 28. Yikes!

This month, Faraday rolled out the ultimate AI TechLuxury FF 912.0 Futurist Alliance at a cool $309,000, along with the eco-friendly aiHypercar+, opening reservations in the US and China. Plus, Nasdaq just gave them the thumbs up to keep trading.

But let's not forget, on April 24, Faraday got a scary delisting warning from Nasdaq for having their stock under $1 for ten straight days. Then came the meme rally rollercoaster: the stock shot up over 2,851% from May 13 to 20, only to crash 36% from May 20 to 24. For now, they've dodged the delisting bullet by keeping the stock above $1. Talk about a wild ride!

Meme stock hype: yesterday once more?

Today, not long before this post, $GameStop(GME.US)$ shares more than doubled after the influencer Keith Gill, known as “Roaring Kitty,” who drove the meme-stock mania of 2021 posted what appeared to be a $116 million position in the game retailer.
