FTSE Russell's Preliminary Results Released Sunway Advance Shares Replace Bank of Malaysia
As expected by the market, $SUNWAY(5211.MY$Sunway will replace $AMBANK(1015.MY$Bank of Malaysia, promotion $FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI Index(.KLSE.MY$FTSE Composite Index constituent stocks.
Bursa Malaysia and FTSE Russell jointly announced the “Preliminary Results of the Semi-Annual Assessment” on Wednesday. According to the market capitalization ranking, the rankings of the above two stocks have changed, and Sunway will be squeezed into constituent stocks to replace Bank of Malaysia.
According to the statement, the new list of constituent stocks will officially take effect on June 24.
In addition, a total of 5 companies were included in the list of candidates for constituent stocks of the Composite Index in this round, namely: Bank of Malaysia, $DIALOG(7277.MY$Dale Group, $GAMUDA(5398.MY$Kim Mu University, $IOIPG(5249.MY$IOI Real Estate and $AIRPORT(5014.MY$Malaysia Airport.
Earlier, Societe Generale Investment Bank Research and MIDF Research had previously stated with one voice that Sunway would squeeze into the composite index's constituent stocks and take the place of Bank Malaysia.
