Will anyone punish these short seller firms?

$Super Micro Computer (SMCI.US)$  they decimate prices based on their "reports" but there have been cases in the past where these short sellers reports are proven false and the firms associated with them profit huge. I've only seen one case before where the reporter and associates were caught and punished with a slap on the wrist, I believe it was Citron research and Andrew left that were punished
