Western Union Sinks 7% After Hours on Q2 EPS Miss
$The Western Union (WU.US)$ fell some 7% after hours Tuesday after the money-order company missed analyst estimates for Q2 earnings per share despite scoring a revenue beat.
WU shed 7.6% to $11.98 shortly before 5 p.m. ET after disclosing $0.44 EPS, slightly trailing to $0.45 that published reports said analysts had expected.
However, Western Union did beat analysts' consensus estimates for revenues, which came in at $1.07 billion vs. the $1.06 billion consensus forecast.
The company also reiterated its full-year 2024 outlook of $1.70 to $1.80 in adjusted EPS. That fell within the $1.77 consensus that analysts had reportedly been looking for.
