What do citizens expect from the next prime minister?

Although the Prime Minister often receives a high approval rating when he takes office, support usually drops rapidly thereafter. I feel that democracy in this country has a fundamental problem.

The main cause may be the feeling that “it's different from what I thought,” but I'm wondering if the main cause of the problem is politicians, citizens, or the democratic system itself.

If there is a problem with politicians, the democratic system should provide an opportunity to select “politicians who are not.” If citizens are always being deceived, I think it's about time the people themselves need to learn.
