What is the reason for Bitcoin's rise?

Just a simple question, why does Bitcoin rise? (Even though it's currently falling)
Gold is often brought up, some people like it just because it's shiny, but not only that, it is also used in precious metals and industrial applications, and central banks of various countries hold it as an asset for emergencies.
Therefore, due to the large number of players holding onto gold, I feel that the price is somewhat stable (slightly increasing).
In contrast, while Bitcoin is called digital gold, I feel that the only similarity with gold is that the total amount is fixed, and I don't really understand the reasons for its rise.
I still can't see other uses for it, and I just feel like it's nothing more than mere data.
I'm aware of the anomaly investment strategy due to halving, but I wonder if that alone is what attracts many people to buy it?
Or is it because in the future, it is expected to be used for various purposes like gold, held by many players, and sought after by everyone like gold, so you think of being a pioneer and buying it before others?

  • StreetLife : At first, I didn't understand computers well, but now they have become commonplace. Just like computers, I think even amateurs cannot imagine how they will evolve (be used). Isn't that what makes the potential for evolution infinitely large? If the bottom is known, it will be easier to put a price on it.

  • NOsss : Well, when you put it that way...
As a veteran virtual Currency ETF created by Blockchain Technology, with liquidity and a track record of value appreciation, it is still an immature investment target that continues to grow. Therefore, it is inevitably considered as a risky asset, unlike Gold and other tangible assets, leading many people to have some aversion towards it.

  • ウーロンマスク神 : Is it the same phenomenon as whiskey, I wonder~

  • ビスコッティ OP StreetLife : It feels like an investment in expectation for something whose purpose is not yet clear. In that sense, it feels like it holds infinite potential.

  • ビスコッティ OP NOsss : Thank you for your comment.
I suddenly realized that I am still in the process of growing and have not fully matured yet.
Due to the low level of maturity, it's like the stock price of a startup company, so I understand the current volatility.

And I felt that the level of maturity is quite low, so unless you have an investment stance that looks at the ultra-long term of several decades, you may not see returns on investment (it takes time but doesn't rise).

Personally, with statements like Mr. Trump suggesting using state reserve funds, I hope that the asset value will increase exponentially like physical assets.

  • StreetLife ビスコッティ OP : You're saying it's not going up despite taking time, have you seen the Candlestick chart of Bitcoin? Please take a look at the full period chart on investing or similar platforms. If there is anything that is performing better than Bitcoin, please let me know.

  • ビスコッティ OP StreetLife : There was a misunderstanding. The rise due to the last two (2012~) half-lives has increased by double digits, but since the last half-life cycle in 2020, it has not exceeded 10 times in a single cycle, gradually decreasing. Therefore, this time it is assumed that even if the price goes from the half-life to the peak, it will not exceed 10 times.

Therefore, in the upcoming rise cycle after the half-life, it is expected that the rise will not be as significant as when it was initially discussed, leading to statements like the one above. If it multiplies by several times in 4 years, I am thinking it will also emerge in investments in other individual stocks.

  • StreetLife ビスコッティ OP : I do not know the future, but so far, the stock prices have been rising in a low interest rate cycle, but it has now changed to a high interest rate inflation cycle.
Compared to before (low interest rate cycle), I think there will be fewer stocks that multiply in stocks. Also, since Bitcoin is considered to be strong against inflation, I believe it will be different from the previous trend (a story of less upward movement) in this market.
