From blind dating to finding your match: How to decide on the stock for me?

When to let go, when to buy in

When you are a novice investor and dont have a lot of time to review a companies filings, the best time to let go of a stock is whenever they are filing reports multiple times in a day or everyday.  Because if the filings are good news the stock has already been affected by it. But if its bad news it can continue bringing it down for a multitude of days.
Lately the best time to buy in is after good news  has been released and nothing happens or it even goes down. This is usually because there are too many shares available and not enough volume happening that day. With low volume it can take upwards of 2-3days to see any big price moves.
This will be the case for $QuantaSing Group (QSG.US)$. They are a low volume stock so when they release good news a short seller will dump all of their remaining loaned out shares(short shares) and since its low volume it will crash the stock. The stock will turnaround right after but it can be slow moving as the momentum builds and investors who sell after 10-15% gains will have a more profound affect on the price movement. This can even cause it to stall for a day so that stock will go up then not move at all the next day.
