Where to evacuate during the US recession
If the US enters a recession, stock prices will continue to fall for about 6 months. Are Vanguard's US bond ETF (EDV) or Blackrock's US bond ETF (TLT) safe to hold in cash as evacuation destinations? NISA can be used for EDV, and TLT has monthly dividends. What's left is Japanese bank stocks!? (Laughter) The Bank of Japan seems to be inducing Japanese banks to make money, so it might be possible to take advantage of that conspiracy.
