Which American company received the most government subsidies?

This chart ranks the companies which have received the most American taxpayer support (in the form of government subsidies) since the year 2000.
Government subsidies take a variety of forms: tax credits, abatements, training reimbursements and direct grants.
Data is sourced from D.C.-based non-profit Good Jobs First's subsidy tracking database, accessed Nov 2024.
Which U.S. Companies Receive the Most Government Subsidies?
Some people said that there is unfair competition because Chinese EV makers receive a lot of subsidies from the government. But as you can see above, American carmakers also received a lot of subsidies. Ford, GM and Stellantis received USD7.7 billion, USD7.5 billion and USD2.8 billion respectively. Tesla received USD2.8 billion in subsidies, but it received USD4.9 billion in government support in total.
