Why APES Will WIN
$AMC Entertainment(AMC.US$ is an incredible short term play for the MOASS. Despite recent fluctuations, AMC is UP nearly 50% in the last month… mirroring its pattern leading up to June 2021—when it jumped 1,000% during the short squeeze.
But the 5-year AMC thesis is also a great fundamental play. My understanding is that they are in negotiations to build apartments (live, work, play) on top of the buildings that they own, add solar panels with storage units to slash energy costs, add EV charging stations (rev share), expand acquisition and distribution of concert films and live sports events—including the World Cup, World Series, Olympics, NBA Finals, College Football Playoff, and the Super Bowl—playing at AMC, offer booths to local vendors (rev share) for additional merchandise and memorabilia sales inside AMC lobbies as well as the newly formed AMC online marketplace, include video game premieres at AMC (game sales split both on-site and online), where gamers can play new games on giant screens… all in addition to the incredible post-strikes 2025 movie slate and the AMC popcorn in stores selling so fast that physical and online retailers can’t keep it in stock.
