if you have studied a lil of how AI works, you will agree, it was never who has the best AI engine. deep inside, for an AI to work, AI needs to learn from data. just like a child. they have to go through many academies and majors to be experts in the particular field.
currently there are many AI engine claims they can draw better, create better content. but that was just the surface( imagine you brag about how your kid can draw very well).
but in the case of google... they have over 20 years of search behavior and behavior from millions of android users. if I say google understands a human better. I bet you won't say anyone else.
so with that huge size of data and history, once google ai manages to learn from all that data, I dare to say google ai will understand human than human themselves.
what does it mean? it means it can predict better what you want and needs, it can greatly help google to place more effective ads or contents on their platform. it can predict what you should watch or listen next. it can even advise you the action you do will have what impact.
this will make google standout from the rest of AI companies still fighting to buy data for their AI engine.
I'm personally looking forward to Google to offer a dedicated personal assistant to each individual in the world - Alfred for everyone.
by saying so, I also foresee AI bubble will be coming sooner than we thought. by 2025 or later 2026. many investors will be tired of waiting for other AI companies to mature, and once funding is cut. and so the AI companies will not be able to complete their AI learning.
just like the 2000 internet bubble burst.
so in summary, I'm a believer in AI, but I'm going to be betting on google.
what you think?

There is only one problem….all of the other companies that you mentioned have enough cash sitting on the side to simply purchase all of the information that they need in order to catch up. Apple, for example, could go on an undreampt of data buying spree and barely put a dent in their cash holdings.
Also, it’s not like they don’t have their own pools of big data to draw from, especially Microsoft and Apple, since they’ve been around for far longer than Google.
Also, this stage of the AI race is similar to the first stage of the handheld cell phone race: whoever wins the early round isn’t guaranteed to be relevant in later rounds. Nobody is talking about IBM or Motorola as a dominating force in the current cell phone industry, despite those companies initially leading in early rounds.

Gardenia Roti OP Chad Dunbar : agreed with your perspectives. so we will see now who has the most relevant data... and what they can do with it..
to me chatgpt is like IBM. google is a challenger In the market instead of leader.
