Will principal money lose ?

104542092 : I also confused about this fund. my cost rm10k. every end will deduct rm30+-. place 2 month, so far value lost rm20+-... no profit, lose

rehabrashwan : Yes NAV go up and down same like stocks but the risk of MMF is too low and the change in NAV is very low, furthermore, you receive dividends in cash at the end of every month, and in most cases if the NAV lost more than usual, the dividends will balance this lose and you will find yourself making profit, if the NAV didn’t lose or lost very little amount, then after dividends you will find yourself making more money .. You can follow your earnings and also the NAV in the fund page.

CheeYong MY OP 104542092 : Wow…I plan to deposit RM100k , while waiting the Company share price drop to my target price . So plan to place this idle cash to cash fund . But after see your comment , I think I just put this cash inside bank.

rehabrashwan : In your fund page you can track your daily earnings and in the fund page you can track the daily NAV and you can use filter to see specific day or specific period. The change in the daily NAV is affecting your fund principal amount and the monthly dividends will be added as cash to your assets.

rehabrashwan CheeYong MY OP : Not really, because the MMF generates profit much more than it will generate in the bank account. The change in NAV is really small and In long term if you check the chart , you will find it stable. Also the dividends cover any losses and add more profit. You may try with little amount , maybe 10k rather than 100k for 3 months or so , then decide!
