There is a possibility that the Windows 11 24H2 update may cause serious issues such as BSOD for some gamers.

October 3, 2024 (excerpt)
Microsoft's latest Windows 11 update '24H2,' released on October 2, 2024,has already seen some issues being reported. Especially notable are the problems that gamers cannot ignore, including game crashes and the occurrence of Blue Screen of Death (BSOD).
Bug reports for the Windows 11 24H2 update
Windows 11 24H2 was expected as a major update for Microsoft's latest flagship OS. However, within just 1 day of its release, several significant issues have emerged.

Game crashes: Reports have surfaced of popular racing game 'Asphalt 8' crashing suddenly after the update.
BSOD (Blue Screen of Death): A BSOD occurring due to a 'MEMORY_MANAGEMENT' error in games using Easy Anti-Cheat. This has been identified in games primarily using versions of Easy Anti-Cheat before April 2024.
Other issues: Compatibility problems with old audio drivers on Intel PCs, glitches with fingerprint sensors, compatibility issues with Safe Exam Browser, etc. have also been reported.
Functionality issues with wallpaper applications: Some wallpaper apps may not function properly, potentially causing problems on virtual desktops.
In response to the above issues, Microsoft has applied a 'compatibility hold' to systems that may be affected. This restricts the 24H2 update via Windows Update.
