  • Julia G M : If Elon rides it with me 🤣

  • MonkeyGee OP Julia G M : that is a very good idea!  [undefined][undefined][undefined]

  • Mynor Garcia : You know, I don't think FSD isn't possible, but from where I'm standing, the problem isn't the technology. The problem is the environment, our roads vary so much from place to place and they just weren't built with any kinda of FSD in mind. For FSD to work we gotta rethink our roads. Down to the material it's made of, to the color and shape of the lines and everything in-between. They keep trying to train them on our highways and they really should be think about building highways designed for FSD cars, and build the charging infrastructure with it at the same time. Right now they're just counting on the AI to get it figured out but, it will never be able to. The highways were designed for humans.

  • Mynor Garcia Mynor Garcia : I bet FSD is flawless on the Autobahn. And really, at this point, Tesla isn't doing anything more to improve FSD because they can't. All the people who drive Teslas are training the AI. And those people don't get down south very much. So there's a huge chunk of your training data missing

  • Mynor Garcia : They should be finding people around the country who have good driving records and paying them to drive the stupid things. It would go much faster. Instead they're charging subscriptions for heated seats. Where are your priorities, you know?

  • bullrider_21 : I won't ride a Tesla robotaxi, not when it still crashes into parked emergency vehicles.

  • MonkeyGee OP Mynor Garcia : That could be part of the reason.  you can't program a car to deal with potholes.  However,  USA roads are not as complex as China's.  But Xpeng can handle it.  I see the only solution Tesla have is to buy out Xpeng or they will never have a functional FSD.

  • MonkeyGee OP bullrider_21 : Tesla seems to pick massive things to hit!

  • bullrider_21 MonkeyGee OP : Not just massive things but emergency vehicles that are not moving.

  • MonkeyGee OP bullrider_21 : if you can't avoid a big vehicle with lights on what chance do you have for regular car.  people on bikes should beware!
