on average, each station need to do 50 swaps to be in the profitable range. last i checked only 50% are profitable or close to profitable. the Baas supposed to be a anchor for nio, it gives more people the reason to buy but unfortunately it is not translating to vehicle sales. the only thing that is left would be the monthly recurring income from battery rental. they have to increase sales from all these sunk costs

70% of nio users are on baas and that means 500k are on Baas. there is alot of costs and they need more people on this. this gives a recurring monthly income of at least 391mil yuan based on the cheaper battery. there is 6 free swaps per month and allow customers to recoup some monthly costs if they are buying it outright later. i wonder if they should slow this down and get more revenue before building more. it is not translating to alot of people changing to nio

degradation of battery is not a concern as batteries are always checked with older batteries being used for energy storage. it is an efficient system and customers benefit tremendously from this. if i could feedback, li bin should slow building of stations and promote the benefits in terms of marketing

Dont think can slow it down as he aims to be the King of Swap Battery. Nio aims to achieve its goal of 10,000 battery swap stations worldwide by 2030.

They are more of an energy company replacing petrol pump stations and petrol pump stations got 7-11, cheers, family mart that why Nio thinking of mini cafe while others can just have a quick buy of coffee to drink while queueing for swap.

typically by ecoomics, this is considered underutilisation of resources. they are not at capacity so i dont understand why they need to keep building more unless the pull is more customers. but we dont see doubling of vehicle sales. why dont they make sure the stations utilisation is high before they build more like a demand supply kind of thing

As more EV makers are joining Nio to produce the same battery configuration so their EVs also can use Nio Swap Station to change the battery. A few Chinese EV makers already confirmed that. As Onvo and Firefly selling like hot cakes later will increase the Nio EVs on the road close to 1mil by the end of 2025.
