Xiaomi SU7 surpasses 150,000 deliveries, targets double that in 2025

The Chinese tech giant Xiaomi is making incredible progress in the electric vehicle market. According to official numbers, the company's first EV, the SU7 sedan, was delivered to over 150,000 customers last year. This is a huge achievement for the company, which underscores Xiaomi's fast-growing presence in the automotive industry.
The achievement comes thanks to a very strong Dec, where Xiaomi delivered over 25,000 SU7s, setting the stage for an ambitious 2025 target of 300,000 vehicle deliveries. The SU7 was only launched in Mar 2024, but it's enjoying strong demand by consumers and Xiaomi is very quick to ramp up production.
Available in Standard, Pro, and Max versions, the SU7 offers something to buyers on every budget. Prices start at RMB 215,900 for the Standard, RMB 245,900 for the Pro, and RMB 299,900 for the Max. The 20 weeks waiting times clearly reflect the SU7's popularity.
Xiaomi SU7 surpasses 150,000 deliveries, targets double that in 2025
Xiaomi's founder, Lei Jun, showed off the SU7's autonomous parking capabilities in a live call, and revealed the impressive delivery figures. He also introduced a special edition SU7 with a striking red exterior, commemorating Xiaomi's 15th anniversary. This version will begin deliveries in Mar.
Xiaomi plans to expand its EV lineup with a performance variant of the SU7 sedan and an SUV model. The RMB 814,900 SU7 Ultra will launch in Mar 2025, and will target the premium segment of the EV market. The SUV model called YU7, will launch in Jun or Jul 2025, expanding Xiaomi's EV offerings.
Xiaomi's rapid progress in the EV market is truly something. The company's ambitious goals for 2025 suggest that it is ready to become a major player in the industry. With its strong track record so far, Xiaomi seems to be well-positioned to capitalize on the growing demand for electric cars.
