Xpeng and Rivian share price deflated quickly after VW partnership

1) Xpeng share price rallied 56% from undistributed share price (USP) by closing of 2nd trading day after the VW partnership announcement.
2) Rivian share price rallied 64% from USP hours after the VW partnership announcement.
3) Currently after 1 year Xpeng share price has decreased 54% from UPS and 71% from the peak price reached on the 2nd trading day.
4) AJ predicted the Rivian share price would deflate quickly just like Xpeng. This is exactly what happened after 6 weeks. Rivian share price has decreased 25.2% from peak price.

it couldn't possibly be because demand is down because nobody is buying big items on account of high federal rates, nope.

ZnWC OP Tonyco : The similarity in the decrease in share price after partnership cannot be a coincidence. Your point using "demand is down" and "nobody is buying big items due to high fed rate" is also too generalized to explain the sharp decrease in the share price.

toomanyscammers ZnWC OP : mmm for me I just took the drop as a sign that the buys were on hype and it was abit like the meme stocks, once this hype died down, pple stopped buying or that the buyers at this period were not long term buyers who intended to hold but more of buyers who did fast trades , leveraging on the news of the moment. but it doesn't signify that the partnership is gonna fail I feel. just signifies that pple buy on news
