Xpeng continued to see strong deliveries last month, with the newMona M03modelperforming strongly.
The Chinese electric vehicle (EV) maker delivered23,917vehicles in Oct, itssecond consecutive record month, according to data it released today.
That's up 19.57% from 20,002 in the same period last year and up 12.01% from 21,352 in Sep.
In the Jan-Oct period, Xpeng delivered 122,478 vehicles, up 20.73% year-on-year.
Since its inception, the company has delivered a cumulative total of 522,789 vehicles, according to data compiled by CnEVPost.
In Oct, the XpengMona M03 surpassed 10,000deliveries for thesecond consecutive month, the company said, without mentioning a specific number.
The Mona M03 becomes the least expensive of Xpeng's models on sale, and is about half the price of the Tesla Model 3.
On August 30, Xpeng said on the first day of the Chengdu auto show that the Mona M03 received more than30,000 firm ordersin the first 48 hours after its launch.
The model delivered 517 units in Sep and 10,023 in Oct, according to data compiled by CnEVPost.
Xpeng will hold anAI Tech Day on Nov 6 in Guangzhou, where it is headquartered, which is an upgrade from its previous 1024 Tech Day.
On Nov 7, it willofficially launchthe new electric sedanP7+, and an event will begin at 7:30 pm Beijing time that day.
Xpeng introduced the P7+ to European consumers in Paris, France, on Oct 14, and announced that the model becameavailable for pre-sales in Chinaat a starting price of RMB 209,800 yuan.
As is customary for Chinese EV makers launching new models, the P7+'s price will likely be lowered further when it goes on sale.
Hours after the model began accepting pre-orders, Xpeng announced on Weibo on Oct 14 thatpre-ordersfor the P7+ hadsurpassed 30,000units just 1 hour and 48 minutes after the pre-sales began.
In a research note sent to investors on Oct 16, Deutsche Bank analyst Bin Wang's team said monthly sales of the P7+ are expected to average 6,000 units, largely in line with the market's expectations of 5,000-7,000 units per month.
