Xpeng: Self-developed bipedal robot unveiled

He Xiaopeng, chairman of Xpeng, said that the future of automobile companies is AI cars and robots. The self-developed bipedal robot unveiled this time has the ability to walk on both feet and overcome obstacles. Through self-developed high-performance joints, the robot has achieved highly stable walking ability, and can complete indoor and outdoor walking and crossing obstacles for more than 2 hours.
In addition, it is equipped with an ultra-lightweight humanoid arm, similar to a dexterous hand: 11 degrees of freedom with one hand, 1 kg holding force with both fingers, 430 g of self-weight, and terminal tactile sensing ability; ultra-lightweight humanoid robotic arm: 7 degrees of freedom, 0.05 mm repetitive positioning accuracy. Maximum single arm load (3 kg) robot arm's own weight (5 Kg self weight).
He Xiaopeng said that in the future, the bipedal robot PX5 is expected to be used in factory scenarios and sales scenarios, such as patrolling Xpeng's factory and introducing automotive products to customers in stores.
