Yemeni military targets Red Sea vessels heading to occupied territories

Sanaa (IP) — The Yemeni military has launched a new operation targeting ships bound for occupied Palestinian territory. This is the latest in a series of pro-Palestinian actions amid the ongoing mass murder by the US and Israel in Gaza.

In a statement released on Monday, the Yemeni military identified the targeted ship as “Blue Lagoon I.” According to the statement, the ship was attacked while sailing in the Red Sea.

“This operation was a coordinated operation by our missile force, navy force, and drone aviation unit,” the statement stated, and confirmed that multiple appropriate missiles and drones were deployed, leading to a “direct attack” on the ship.

The Yemeni military emphasized that this mission was carried out as “solidarity with the oppressed Palestinian people and their combatants,” and emphasized Yemen's stance on mass murder by Israel.

Since October 7, when Israel began mass murder operations in Gaza, Yemeni forces have launched multiple attacks against Israeli targets and ships. These operations are aimed at putting pressure on Israel, stopping the genocide, and lifting the blockade of Gaza.

The statement also repeated warnings to international companies linked to Israel, and warned that regardless of destination, ships passing through designated operations areas in the Red Sea would be targeted.

The Yemeni military has vowed to continue operations as long as Israel continues military action and the blockade of Gaza. According to local sources, Israel has already killed around 0.04 million800 Palestinians, mainly women and children.
