Yes…….that’s CORRECT….. SMCI has JUST been anointed to the S & P 500 ….!!!!!
A few hours ago, decisions regarding S&P 500 inclusion landed on SMC’s lucky square 👍🤑.
Simply speaking there are a sizable number of funds that are now going to have to BUY SMCI to include in their portfolios to balance their exposure. 👍
Every time I’m holding a stock that spontaneously gets folded into the S&P 500, There has been a considerable amount of buying and adding to notable price appreciation, staying power, ….and a considerable reduction in volatility, assuming the market doesn’t puke,….. which with the ties between Nvidia and SMCI, I dont see as viscious a potential pullback as has existed up to today.
If this inclusion were not to have happened ; (Effective market open Monday MARH 15th) Id be chewing my nails off wondering when the big dip is.![]()
Now however, a gift from the Big Bull in the sky!!! No guarantees of course, but for me,….. I’m loving the odds for the mid to longer term and am far more likely to hold all my SMCI until God knows when !!!
PLUS,…. dont forget about the huge rollout of Nvidia’s next gen GPU,…… which again, sweet as manna from heaven, is happenning at roughly the same time ,…… which is expected to goose Nvidia’s stock. I cant even speculate as to how much, maybe just a bit, and maybe,…..well with the momentum still on a tare, could also be the catalyst to push it (Nvidia) over the $1,000 mark????
Personally, I think its somewhere in the middle, between $900 & 1,000, but given the juice the A.I. stocks currently have, especially NvIdia and SMCI,…. THIS COULD BE a a nice dual rip which is how these two stocks seem to like to trade. So DUAL EVENTS, both BIG and in the hottest sweet spot in the market right now.
So Im stoked!!! 👍 Unless, there’s some major disaster in the overall market, I am NOT selling either stock for at least 3 weeks, not even if we get a 10% or so retracement, as there’s simply too many catalysts that are pushing these stocks higher on all fronts. I know that both have had huge runs. But there is a reason for this…… A.I. iis here to stay, not visit.
Though I cant speak to the forever continued correlation between these two stocks,…. for right now, it appears that for the these two stocks appear to be inextricably tied at the hip, and everywhere else.
Can you imagine being a le to hold these stocks over the very long term? These are the types of stocks in this type of market that change lives of those who don’t wet their pants ,…. in monumental ways.
Lets hope for a favorable unemployment number next Friday that doesnt throw a giant fly in the ointment. Either way, I dont really worry about it. As I see two companies that are largely unstopable in the mid to long term because of their relationship with each other and the synergy that each allows the other.
Here’s the question of the year…….. How long do you think the road is for Nvidia to go from a $2 trillion market cap to a $3 trillion market cap. My answer…… sooner than later. All Nvodia has to do is get in the neighborhood of $1200. I just dont think its gonna take more than 6-12 months or less. Just my thesis. im partial,..but I think its a solid one. 🥳👍
BTW. AMD should rip again nest week because Lisa Sueis showcasing all of AMD’s new lineup and strategic plans at her conference next week as well!

PhotoSynth OP 103115790 : I can’t speak for anyone else, but that’s why we hold these stocks and don’t try to trade the crap out of them. There is certainly going to be volatility as the market ebbs and flows, but the momentum in this sector at this point is simply overwhelmingly in one direction in a special sector that Nvidia has a rather significant moat around it …… I don’t see this changing any time soon, as the market for “the best” is not something Nvidia has to worry about anytime soon. I’m not a stock broker, but I have been studying A.I. since 1988. I’ve spent thousands of hours, looking deeply into the theories, the facts, the empirical data, and the completely insane ideas that most people give when they tell you what they think A.I. actually is.
All I can say, is you’ve gotta be kidding me……. And despite my tiring of Elon Musk’s antics in the business world,…….. He’s one of the few that’s spot on in his understanding of the possibilities, the probabilities, and the fact that we are indeed creating a new life-form. Just not a carbon based life form. Sound spooky? Get out the popcorn and expect a wild mind bending experience that will make all of our current technologies look ancient in the not too distant future. This whole thing is to us, just getting to a place where we can start to see it. But this truly is only the beginning of the ever accelerating evolution to what is best known as “ the singularity “ .
