“One share” is a service that enables trading, which is usually carried out in units of 100 shares (1 unit), starting with 1 share (shares less than one unit). By using this service, you can become a shareholder of a Japanese listed company with a relatively small investment.There are no transaction fees, and you can use “single share” transactions with an NISA account with a fee of 0 yen.![]()
As an appeal of “one share,” dividends can be received even from 1 share, and it is possible to invest in multiple stocks with limited funds. Another advantage is that diversified investment can be realized in different industries and that it is easy to invest in high-dividend stocks. Note, however, that shares smaller than one unit do not have voting rights.
Conventionally, the minimum investment unit price for investing in Japanese stocks was high, and there was an issue where it was difficult for individual investors to enter, but with “single share” transactions, more investors can easily start investing in Japanese stocks.![]()
Service Overview Details
1. Available stocks
Among the stocks listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, less than 3,700 stocks selected by our company can be traded for less than one unit.

・ETF (Exchange-traded fund)
・REIT (Real Estate Investment Trust)
・ETN (exchange-traded investment securities)
*Stocks where 1 unit is 1 share are not eligible.
Note: The following cases will be excluded from our selection of stocks.
・When trading suspension measures are taken in the market due to trading regulations, etc., and trade orders cannot be executed
・When designated as a consolidated stock or delisted
・If it becomes a supervised stock (including being confirmed) (NISA accounts cannot be traded. (Transactions are possible with specific accounts and general accounts.)
・When it becomes less than 1 share due to corporate actions, etc.
・Stocks that may cause delivery issues due to capital cuts or other reasons
・Domestic listed foreign stocks, stocks not handled by Hofuri
・When our company is unable to handle due to other reasons

*Limit orders are not possible. The limit on purchasing capacity is the upper limit of the price range limit.
5. Contract Inquiry/Cancellation Time
Orders for one share (less than one unit) can be cancelled up to the time each order is accepted. Correction orders are not possible.
Also, orders are valid for the same day only. If there is no market price at the end of the front market, it will automatically be taken over to the back market, and if it is not established at the back market, the order will expire. If the order expires, the customer will need to place a new order.
