3.7 billion yuan container ship order! Two Chinese shipyards sign an agreement

On July 8, Greek shipping company Danaos Corporation announced on its official website that it has signed contracts with two Chinese shipyards to build 5 medium-sized container ships, with a total order value of 0.509 billion US dollars (approximately RMB 3.702 billion).

Among them, 4 9200TEU medium container ships were built by Dalian Shipbuilding, a subsidiary of China Shipping Group, with a total order value of about 0.416 billion US dollars (about RMB 3.025 billion), and the cost of a single ship is about 0.104 billion US dollars. It is estimated that they will be delivered in 2027 (3 ships) and 2028 (1 ship), respectively; 1 8258 TEU medium container ship was constructed by Yangzijiang Shipbuilding, with an order value of 93 million US dollars (approximately RMB 0.676 billion). It will be delivered in 2027.
