Zeekr, the premium electric vehicle (EV) subsidiary ofGeelyHolding Group, saw astrongperformance indeliveries last month, as the updated Zeekr 001, launched at the end of Feb, gained good initial acceptance.
Zeekr delivered16,089vehicles inApr, anew highsince its inception, according to figures released by the company.
That's up98.61%from 8,101 vehicles in Aprlast yearand up 23.65% from 13,012 vehicles in Mar.
In theJan-Aprilperiod, Zeekr delivered49,148vehicles, up 110.62% year-on-year.
The company, which produces only battery electric vehicles (BEVs), has delivered a total of 245,781 vehicles since its inception, data monitored by CnEVPost show.
For the full year 2023, Zeekr delivered 118,685 vehicles, up 64.98% year-on-year.
Zeekr's salestargetfor this year is230,000vehicles, according to Geely's earnings report released on Mar 20. That represents about 94% growth.
Zeekr launched the updated Zeekr 001 on Feb 27 and was offering customers who order the model by Mar 31 free upgrades including premium exterior colours and wheels.
On Mar 30, Zeekr said the updatedZeekr 001received more than30,000orders in its first month of availability.
The shooting brake model has been Zeekr's main seller, with 76,246 units delivered in 2023, contributing 64% of the 118,685 units Zeekr delivered in the year, according to data compiled by CnEVPost.
Zeekr's currently available models include the Zeekr 001, Zeekr 001 FR, Zeekr 007, Zeekr 009, and Zeekr X.
It launched the four-seatZeekr 009 Grandon Apr 19 with a starting price of RMB 789,000 (USD108,960) to target business owners and CEOs.
On Apr 25, Zeekr unveiled itsSEA-M architectureon the first day of the Beijing auto show, as well as the Zeekr Mix, the first model based on the architecture.
Zeekr seeks to turn around toprofitability in 2024under Hong Kong financial reporting standards, Geely Auto said on Mar 20 in an earnings report.
