$ZHENGWEI GROUP (02147.HK)$ The National Bureau of Statistics released the retail sales of consumer goods in September. In September, the total retail sales of consumer goods was 3,982.6 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 5.5%. Among them, the retail sales of consumer goods other than automobiles were 3,544.3 billion yuan, an increase of 5.9%. From January to September, the total retail sales of consumer goods was 34.2107 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 6.8%. Among them, the retail sales of consumer goods other than automobiles were 30,727 billion yuan, an increase of 7.0%.
Guo Liyan, director of the Situation Office of the Decision-making Consulting Department of the China Institute of Macroeconomics, said that overall, consumer spending contributed more than 70% to economic growth in the first three quarters. At present, consumption is a major driving force supporting the recovery of the entire macro economy. Based on the current performance of major consumption categories and the recovery of residents' income and consumer spending, it is expected that the growth rate of total retail sales of consumer goods throughout the year will be around 7%.
