SAF contract with the Airlines industry.
● Japan Airlines
Japan Airlines (JAL) will purchase sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) from the U.S. biofuel producer Gevo Inc, as announced by Gevo on the 7th. They will procure 5.3 million gallons (approximately 20 million liters) of SAF annually for a period of five years starting from 2027. The two companies recently entered into a sales contract for SAF.
●Delta Air Lines
Delta Air Lines has set a goal to use 10% sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) for its operations by the end of 2030 and has signed a contract to significantly expand the availability of this new technology with SAF manufacturer Gevo Inc. Under this contract, Delta Air Lines is expected to receive approximately 75 million gallons (about 284,000 kilograms) of SAF over seven years starting from mid-2026.
