$Block (SQ.US)$ If it follows the way of other large and mid-cap names recently and falls hard, I would try and buy that dip. Though I am deeply into PYPL the market is still very open to Fintech competition. Friday SQ fell 12, for 4.8%. That is still not enough margin of safety for me to start building a position. If SQ’s earnings report is well received by the market, I will just move on to another opportunity. Though, following the behavior of other tech names following earnings, I think the odds are in my favor to pick SQ up on sale. I was going to chart SQ but it’s not easy to read. It looks like it had a nice uptrend in a “cup and Handle” formation only to fail at strong resistance at 265. I need to see some more downside before I venture in. Perhaps I will stick with my $PayPal (PYPL.US)$ position since I feel I have a better sense of it.
