Consumer sentiment in July were slightly weaker than economists estimated, while the Federal Reserve's preferred inflation gauge rose in line with Wall Street estimates in June, adding to a pile of economic data that may sway policymakers to start cutting interest rates in September.
The University of Michigan's consumer sentiment index fell to 66.4 this month, from 68.2 in June. That's slightly lower than the 66.5 expected in a Bloomber...

What determines the rise and fall of stock markets? Some may argue that companies are the main players and their performance is the key factor. Others point to investor sentiment, supply and demand of financial products, and international events.
While all these factors are important, they all depend on an even more crucial element: the health of the economy. Think of companies as ships sailing in the vast ocean.🛳️ When the economy is healthy, the sea ...

Good afternoon, traders. Happy Thursday, July 25th. The market is turning sideways, but big tech is climbing back up after dropping Wednesday: earnings season is hurting stock gains enjoyed so far this year.

Some mindsets about investing in US stocks. I started investing in 2017-2019, and during the pandemic phase from 2020 to 2023, I was forced to stay at home and started researching. At that time, 1 USD was equivalent to 3.8 MYR. I decided to focus my investments on US stocks, considering that MYR would depreciate and US companies are globally distributed. Being a shareholder in US stocks allows me to earn USD and spend MYR in Malaysia, which is a very promising lifestyle. Today in 2024, 1 USD is equivalent to 4.7-4.8 MYR, and MYR has depreciated by 20%. Apart from stock prices, I have also gained from exchange rates. This is the advantage of investing in US stocks. US stocks can make you wealthy.

$Taiwan Semiconductor (TSM.US)$ Without Taiwan Semiconductor's 1, there would be no Apple, Nvidia, AMD, Qualcomm, etc. Speaking of Qualcomm, it has now been surpassed by MediaTek. Who made them buy Samsung chips?
