There are also many attractive MooMoo figurines to exchange using the points.

Setting stop loss and profit target depends whether it is for long term trade or short term trade.
For long term trade, can use MA to exit if price goes below 200 days MA. Profit target can be the intrinsic value of the stock.
For short term trade, can use the most recent low minus the ATR of the entry day. This will give a bit of buffer to avoid whipsaw. Profit target can be the recent high.

It is human nature to feel sad or even cry when making a loss. I feel that way too. But ultimately to do well in trading and investing, we need to understand ourself so that we know our risk profile and what instrument to trade and invest that meets our risk appetite. Also need to spent time to learn how to trade and invest.

Trade plan could be either based on fundamental or technical analysis.
I will briefly discuss how to buy and sell based on technical analysis. Look at the weekly MA to gauge the trend. If trend is up, buy. If trend is down, the experience traders can short the stocks but newbies should not short. If the trend is sideway, do nothing. Weekly MA is easier to gauge the trend than daily MA.

1.Determine what stocks to buy. It could be based on fundamentals, eg. earning growth, revenue growth and high ROE, etc.
2. Keep a watchlist of the stocks to buy.
3. Use technical analysis to determine when to buy, eg. the stock is over sold or moving average crossover.
4. Have a strategy for profit taking once the target price is teach or to cut loss if the price fall below cut loss price.

Started trading to have a second source of income and also to learn a skill to generate income after retirement. There are many advertisement especially through social media promoting stock trading courses, promising lucrative and consistent income and how people can achieve financial freedom with trading skills. In actual fact, being a consistent and successful trader requires tremendous effort and perseverence to practise and adhere to the trading plan and strategies. Not many will suceed and it is definitely achievable if one put in the required effort to do so.
