$Microsoft (MSFT.US)$ Please tell me a question. At the time of the Asian stock market disaster on August 5, I bought some stocks at night trading (2:00 AM- 2:15 AM) of US stocks at night. When I checked my email at 9 a.m. the next morning, I discovered that IBKR (my brokerage firm) sent an email at 5 a.m. saying that their upstream (Blue Ocean) had cancelled all transactions after 1:45 AM. What's most disappointing is that they just notified, but they didn't remove the shares I bought and return the funds. My account was not a Margin account, and I had no funds to increase my position at a low price in early trading. It wasn't until around 2 p.m., that they cancelled the night trading and returned the funds. At this point, stocks have already risen. Please tell me, can I hold the broker accountable? If so, what would be the ideal outcome? How do I operate it? Thank you!
