In the same report, Deep Seek attracted attention with one topic, that the 'training cost is less than 6 million dollars,' which only refers to the cost of the chips during pre-training and points out that it is only a very small part of the overall cost. Despite considering the impact of US semiconductor export regulations, Deep Seek estimated that they have spent at least over 0.5 billion dollars on purchasing semiconductor chips.
The report states that Deep Sea utilizes NVIDIA's super chip (Note 1), estimating that it uses approximately 0.01 million H800, 0.01 million H100, and 0.03 million H20, totaling more than 0.05 million super chips.
