The long-awaited interest rate cut is finally here and what a cut it was! - a 50 basis point cut that took the market slightly by surprise.
The decision lowers the federal funds rate to a range between 4.75% - 5%. In addition to this reduction, the committee's dot plot shows the equivalent of 50 more basis points of cuts by year-end, another full percentage point in cuts by the end of 2025 and a half point in 2026. In all, the Fed's dot ...

Many people like to plan their getaways during long weekends due to public holidays but I’m the exception. I prefer to travel during off-peak periods as I dread long queues (like when crossing over to Johor), large crowds and the air fares and accommodation will be cheaper. The world is now waiting for the Feds to officially announce rate cut. US Treasuries and Bond funds are known to offer stable rates in times of uncertainy as history shows possibility of a recession following rate cuts.

I would scour ebay and Amazon for items to add to my collection. I was intimately familiar with the airmail rates for USPS.
