The Multi-Bagger Journey: Turning Falling Knives into Treasure
The most multi-bagging moment in my 2024 investment journey traced back to 2021, when I started catching falling knives. I had also shares my journey on how I'm Catching Falling Knives: Unveiling My 2023 Journey in 1 Chart with 3 Tactical Lifelines!
In total, I managed to catch 4 falling knives that became multi-baggers in 2024 . These falling kn...

In my previous post, I showed my 2024 P/L – seemed all roses right? Wrong, it’s actually been a mega roller coaster. I’ve been actively investing for over 3 years, starting with a small capital with the occasional DCA. Since I started when the markets were going down in 2022, I am usually more pessimistic in nature. But this year truly took the cake in testing my conviction, both in myself and the companies I bought shares in.

The most interesting Christmas decoration that I have seen this year has to be the Christmas lights of the building shown below 👇
Despite being an amateur part-time trader, the sight of candlestick patterns is an eye magnet 🧲 in the cityscape, beckoning me to analyse if the 🐂 or the 🐻 is in control of the sentiments of the building....
Can anyone guess the city which this building is located?

Had been waiting for an opportunity to buy the dip for the $Vanguard S&P 500 ETF (VOO.US)$. The window opened when the market had an adverse reaction to the FED chair's hawkish message and the released dot plot after the FOMC meeting. It was fortunate that the Core PCE data released subsequently was lower than expectation and the easing of inflationary concerns fuelled a rally on the last triple-witching Friday of the year. Hope this will be the beginnin...

I missed out on the election rally (~10% gain) and was unease with how even more elevated the market was after DT got elected...
I waited on the sidelines for a pullback, and that came when FOMC projected fewer cuts and markets tumbled, breaking below several key EMA levels (50D and 100D EMA). That also triggered some of my limit orders at those levels.

The best Christmas present I can get this year is for my father’s recent health issue to resolve on its own. He is greatly troubled by it and has been making frequent visits to the doctors. The medications prescribed are only giving short term relief. I was also hospitalised not long ago and am still on the road of recovery. Growing up, Christmas was associated with gift exchanges but as one gets older, one appreciates that good health is essential to ma...

As the year comes to a close, it’s time to reflect on the lessons learned, celebrate successes, and set new goals for the year ahead. This year, my investment journey has been shaped by many insights from my wins & losses, and I want to incorporate Warren Buffett’s timeless advice as a guiding framework for 2025. Here are some key takeaways and how they’ll influence my approach moving forward:

doctorpot1 OP : Thank you every one for your support
doctorpot1 OP Gianna_xoxo : Once you own the contract you can sell it just like any other stock. you will earn money if you manage to sell it for a price higher than what you bought it for, and lose money if you sell it for a price lower than what you bought it for
doctorpot1 OP CᖇYᑌI᙭ : the whole video will be available for replay so can watch it in the future
doctorpot1 OP 73682450 : I'm not too sure about this. think need to ask @Moomoo Buddy
doctorpot1 OP Gianna_xoxo : yes once you buy an option. it is yours and it is in your account till expiration date. you can sell it for a higher price to earn money or you can exercise it too.
e.g. you bought a call option with a strike price of $10. the share price now is $20. if you can either sell the option and earn the profit or exercise it and get the shares which also results in a profit because you bought the shares for cheaper price than what it is worth
