Palantir's second quarter revenue outlook exceeds expectations.
Palantir Technologies Inc.'s stock price rose on Monday, surpassing the latest financial report of the software company, but these gains were wiped out in after-hours trading.
However, Palantir has raised its strong momentum for its artificial intelligence platform, called AIP, on Monday.
The software company now expects annual revenue of $26.77 billion to $26.89 billion, up from its previous forecast of $26.52 billion to $26.68 billion. Revenue for the second quarter is forecasted to be $0.649 billion to $0.653 billion, surpassing consensus expectations of $0.643 billion.
Palantir also expects full-year adjusted operating profit of $0.868 billion to $0.88 billion, compared to its previous forecast of $0.834 billion to $0.85 billion.
CEO Alex Karp said in a letter to shareholders, 'Growing parts of corporate America are increasingly turning to us, and they are more clear than ever how artificial intelligence and big language models will reshape their industries.'
These improved prospects come after Palantir exceeded expectations in the first quarter. The company reported revenue of $0.634 billion, compared to $0.525 billion in the same period last year, while analysts tracked by FactSet forecasted $0.615 billion.
