It is a year of learning - how to manage my emotion to cut loss and to be patient in waiting for the right setup to trade. I have yet to find the best methodology for myself and am reflecting if options trading is suitable for me.
Best of year : Options and shares trading in BYD and OXY.
Worst of year : BABA, TSLA and META options where I did not stick to rules to cut loss early and suffer high % losses.

I predict it is a bear trap but again, market likes to move opposite direction vs. majority's believe.
Contributed some money to market since beginning of year. I have began to learn not to trade or invest base on my own prediction.

I am bearish in mid term and plan to sell some of my shares and use options to queue for the shares at lower prices.
Outside US, l also plan to reduce my stake in some counters.
As part of my hedge, plan to long PUT for SPY and QQQ when it hit resistance in coming week.

I think it's important to learn that money is scarce resource and how to prioritize what you want to buy with the limited money you have.
I have Moo desktop version but somehow find it easier to trade using phone. Was told that trading using desktop is faster; since I am not scalping or day trade, I reckon it is not a MUST.
I usually spend sometime pre-market to analyze the charts. I will typically spend at least 1st trading hour my desk watching the charts and execute when opportunity arise. Thereafter, will be monitoring via phone app.

I am still learning - current strategy is going long in $SPDR Gold ETF (GLD.US)$, $iShares Silver Trust (SLV.US)$ and Oil and gas counters. On swing trade, I take bearish options on selective Tech counters.

I do not have discipline and it costs me dearly when market meltdown in Feb/Mar this year. Have a plan before investing and stick to it is my take-away from recent correction.
It did not cross my mind to be a full time trader, in past decade, simply because I love my job. It gave me many opportunities and also provided me with decent income to fulfill my financial commitment.
I began to be an active trader since covid 19 when I was retrenched. In general, market was good last year and I made a decent income based on some basic investing knowledge and luck, of course. it has been a choppy year in 2022 thus far and I began to self evaluate if I posse...

I have more awareness about ESG in past 12 months and have been making small effort to save our earth. For example, reduce usage of plastics carrier, opt for ESG friendly purchases where possible (if premium is not too huge), recycling, using water filters to reduce water usage etc. I personally find reducing food wastage is a low hanging fruit. Hope everyone can contribute towards a green earth.
