$LINK REIT (00823.HK)$ Goldman Sachs Research Reports point out that due to the strength of the Hong Kong dollar and no significant improvement in tourist numbers visiting Hong Kong in December last year, it is expected that Hong Kong's retail performance may continue to be poor. The bank also believes that in the second quarter of this year, daily retail sales may show a mild year-on-year increase compared to the same period in 2024. Morgan Stanley mentioned that the improvement in daily retail sales is theoretically favorable for Link, but the main driving factor of its stock price is still the fluctuation of the U.S. 10-Year Treasury Notes Yield. Therefore, the Federal Reserve's more hawkish stance may put pressure on Link's stock price in the short term. The bank believes that the continued improvement in daily retail sales can at least alleviate market concerns about the sales performance of Link's tenants and provide some downside support. In addition, for WHARF REIC, as an alternative investment target for luxury goods retail, Morgan Stanley expects its performance to continue to be poor until there is a significant rebound in non-essential retail sales. With the strength of the Hong Kong dollar and the uncertain macro environment, this will take time to materialize. Morgan Stanley has set the Target Price for Link at 43 Hong Kong dollars.
