If that is the case i would rather to exercise the covered call strategy on the shares i wish to own where i can possibly earning the capital appreciation as well as the premium and no need to pay the insane 30% withholding tax for the dividend received which is actually my cost of investment.

101824250 OP Case1153 : Sound feasible but too much cost incurred (put option cost, 30% withholding tax, forgone potential upside etc) and the longest dated option is only 6 months from now and not liquid. The strike price is integer and you more or less will incur some losses if the etf price cannot recover unless you bought the one strike above your entry price which will actually cost more. Will be interesting to find out the actual performance of the return less all the costs and is it still worth buying?

101824250 : In fact no ppl will know what is going to happen in the short term. Figure out the best risk to reward and take note of your position sizing to have a better chance of winning. Lose small when you are wrong and win big if you are correct.
If you have strong conviction that Nvda is going to grow 10x in the future then buy and hold and uninstall your trading apps.

101824250 : Buy and hold is more recommended for index etf investing (eg. VOO etc) btw. Individual stocks are always with unsystematic risk that cannot be predicted and could be detrimental to your portfolio performance. So diversification is still the key for long term buy and hold investor.

101824250 10baggerbamm OP : ya it is good idea i also trying to do that but the option for this ETF is not that liquid and big bid ask spread. wonder how you can find a good price for 100 or even 200 contracts to sell your put.
